Blog Entry #4

In my experience in competing at the JPL Regional Competition, I had an opportunity to view the creativity of students all through the LA County and socialize with some of them as well. I was able to witness the wide variety of solutions to the same problem. The solutions ranged from physics to computer programming. It was inspiring to see the amount of work and dedication students put into this competition.

In the end, my team's design worked successfully in completing the given task, giving us a chance to go to the next round. Although our design worked, I believe that it didn't work as well as it have. I think that this was simply a team-working issue. Since there were so many people on the team, not everyone had a chance to work on and give input on the design. Certain individuals appeared to have "assigned" tasks but there was no "wiggle room" for each individuals' input.

All in all, I enjoyed this experience, especially being at the competition! :)
